⚠️ Experimental Public Safety Research
This experimental concept tool allows volunteers to scan and log Bluetooth signals in their area. Data may be voluntarily shared with authorized public safety agencies upon request and with explicit consent. This site is not affiliated with any active law enforcement investigation or any specific missing-person case.
How This Works
This webpage uses your device's Bluetooth to scan for nearby devices and report the data anonymously to a demo backend. Each scan asks you to pick one nearby device from a list, then records that choice with your approximate location. The technology works by:
- Scanning for nearby Bluetooth devices within range (~30-100 feet)
- Recording device identifiers, signal strength, and your GPS location (when available)
- Uploading this data to help create a searchable demo dataset
- Illustrating how signal mapping could theoretically be analyzed in a structured dataset
